What is an API?

An API lets developers write code to access an application’s functionality and data from outside the application. In the case of a Camayak integration, the API makes it possible to click “Publish” in Camayak and push your content over to another system (your CMS). Your code sends a request to Camayak’s API and Camayak sends back your data. Our API can send back the title, body content, featured image, byline, and custom metadata for assignments created in Camayak.
